Blog Post Week 15
1. What did you learn this week?
This week I learned about observations and inferences and how just because you have the right observation doesn't mean your inference is correct. I learned about this through the experiment we did in class revolving around having objects in a canister and shaking them, and making observations to try to identify what they are.
2. How can you apply what you've learned to your teaching in the future?
I liked the usage of the book to introduce the lesson. I think this is a book that I might like to use in the future science classroom. It is beneficial to incorporate literacy and books into science to help with engagement and improve their literacy skills at the same time.
3.What are new or remaining questions?
What grade level would the observations and inferences experiment be best for?
Hi Erika! To answer your question, I think the activity we did in class about observation and inferences would be best with grades 3-5 but it could easily be modified to fit grades K-2! Great Post
