What did you learn this week? This week I had learned about what the NGSS was, and how it is different than the common core standards. These standards are more about stating what the students should be doing and not what the students should know. This helps students evaluate the information they are learning from doing instead of just memorizing information. 2. Are you able to relate what you learned to what you already knew? Yes! I had already previously knew that doing and experimenting hands on was more effective for children to learn rather than just hearing about it, and then learning about the basis of these standards related to that information because the standards are based around hands on learning. 3. How can you apply what you've learned to your teaching in the future? In my future classroom, I want to be able to apply the NGSS standards into my science class.
