- What did you learn this week?
This week we learned about observations, explaining, and questioning. We used different candies to make very descriptive observations. I learned about how important it is for students to first learn about how to make observations to be able to then move on to the explain and explore phases of an investigation.
- Are you able to relate what you learned to what you already knew?
I had already knew about observing, and have had a lot of experience with this from my previous classroom experience. Many different times in elementary school, I remember having to first just observe something, and then after we would start asking questions about what we were observing and seeing.
- How can you apply what you've learned to your teaching in the future?
I liked the different stations we did, with observing, explaining, and questioning. I would like to use these different stations and worksheet in the future in my classroom. I think this activity was very fun and engaging and something that students would definitely enjoy.
Hi Erica!
ReplyDeleteI appreciated how you shared a little bit about your elementary school experience. I also remember learning the process of making observations was one of the first skills that I developed in my primary education. I find that this is a skill that also stays with us for the rest of our lives. Great job :)
